To Do List

Hey Cathy,
I don't know if you checked it out, but one of Blogspot's "Blogs of Note" is called http://www.todolistblog.com/, and it is a compilation of apparently random to-do lists. The author of the blog tells the story behind the lists in her new book, and I think it should be a fun, sort of voyeuristic book to read. After all, how many times have each of us taken a deep breath, and written down all the things that we needed to do to get over some hurdle? The act of simply writing the list is very cathartic and empowering. Later we find the list, and look back and think about our state of mind, and either start sobbing, laughing or just feeling relief that all of that is over with. I wrote my most famous list when I was in third or fourth grade and it was: 1) Do homework, 2) Clean Room 3)Run away. I remember thinking that if my room were clean "Everyone" would be sorry I was gone, and my room would become a kind of shrine. Later when I told my parents I was going to run away (which I think I did about once a week), they always said,"Clean your room before you go!"
I cannot wait to read this book. Liz
