Cathy and I are going through a phase of irritation. At the moment, as far as I know, we are not irritated with one another, but based on our high level of irritation potential, it is only a matter of time. We both have personal reasons for irritation but since I do not think that full disclosure is a balm for any one's soul, including my own, I will not share. Just trust me the personal reasons abound.
In my agitated state, I attempted to do a little bookkeeping, which, thanks to the masterminds at Quickbooks, I actually find kind of soothing because it is so orderly. All the little numbers get filled into the little boxes and even if they don't tell a particularly rosy story, they LOOK good and sometimes appearances are more important than reality. Anyway, I went to look at the company bank account on-line and lo and behold found that we had become a victim of a "Charge back". A big one. One that is much bigger than any of our transactions. I find this irritating. Since we have been in business, this charge back phenomenon has never happened to us, but a little investigating led me to find out that online businesses everywhere have money VANISH from their accounts for no apparent reason. God help us everyone.
So tomorrow, I will need to get out of my bathrobe extra early and head to the bank and find out WHO DID IT. Because if I am going to be irritated, I want to know why.
