My friend Jackie makes fun of me because I do not dress for comfort. Historically, I have chosen fashion over comfort. As I approach 50 however, I am aware of the fact that I am more productive when I'm comfortable. For example, I can get a lot more done around the house in sweats and a t-shirt, blissfully unaware of my bulges that are normally present in my too tight jeans. Mostly I wear stand up jeans only, meaning that it hurts to sit down in them.
Lately I have been noticing how uncomfortable it is to wear leather boots with socks that fall down around my ankles. The cold leather on my bare leg feels icky so I have been searching all my favorite stores for socks that go up high. My prayers were answered the the other day at TJ Maxx. I actually found a pair of socks that go above the knee (see picture) and STAY UP. They are amazingly comfortable and cozy on cold winter days. Unfortunately, TJ MAXX only had one pair so these are going to be worn out soon because now no other socks will do. If anyone knows where I can buy these in bulk please let me know ASAP.
