The Phone is Dead, Long Live the Phone

In a fluke of cosmic proportions, Cathy and I both lost our phones two days ago. Mine dropped in a parking lot and then someone(probably me) drove over it and smashed it into three unusable bits. Cathy's just vanished at the Justice for Girls store( I think that is a really weird name for a clothing store, but I am the mother of boys. It sounds more like a place that abused women should find a lawyer, not a fun t-shirt.)
Anyway, Cathy and I went to the Verizon store together to buy our replacement phones and walked out with personal secretaries and babysitters. We are the proud owners of the Blackberry Pearl, in pink. They make phone calls, send emails, take dictation, do "tasks" and keep our adolescent sons busy for hours.
We are learning to text. There is no way that texting will ever replace email for me. tHIs IS what mY teXts lppk likE. But it is fun to be a part of the mobile generation. And Thank God for my Solmates Sunreaders, so I can actually see the teeny letters and read who is calling me.

So, I am waiting for all those calls and letters. With my very pink phone in its very cute case.
