Ignore Liz's previous comment about that fact the she is under the impression she is not irritating me. She wasn't until I read her blog. Liz keeps telling me to 'go write in our blog'. My resistance must be irritating her because she keeps giving me articles about how important these blogs are for driving people to your web-site, getting Internet advertising etc. She was so excited to see our first ad in this column today, but I am baffled because it is for a competitive web-site. What is the value of that? Very irritating, I say.
The problem, is, that writing for Liz is as easy as talking. The words just float off her computer keys and she is very witty and funny to boot. For me, writing is not a natural, flowing, stress reducing experience. It is in fact, the opposite. Liz will say things like 'I was a little low today so I blogged to feel better'. Just thinking about writing for the heck of it makes me feel sad. Despite this, Liz keeps saying, 'write, damn it!'. When this happens I try to come up with some snappy skill I have that she doesn't which will similarly drive people to our web-site. It is very irritating when I can't think of anything. I am left with the humble realization that Liz can do everything I can do and more. However, I am a single mother doing the best I can, which is my mantra for today and everyday. More on that later.
